Security, privacy and Law 25
Your documents are hosted in Montréal, Canada. The meo platform holds a SOC 2 Type 2 attestation.
Each space keeps its own clients and documents, and each user reaches it according to their role. Your clients’ answers to information blocks are encrypted. Before any upload, your client gives their consent, and meo keeps the proof in their record.
In Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) is the federal baseline for private businesses. British Columbia and Alberta each have their own Personal Information Protection Act. Quebec’s Law 25 is the most demanding of these laws: meo is built to meet it, which also covers what the others require.
The Privacy page helps you document your practices: your privacy officer, your privacy policy, your vendor, incident and request registers, and a public portal where your clients exercise their rights. meo gives you the tools; your organisation remains responsible for its practices.
