Signature document
A signature document is a PDF your client signs online, inside a request. You upload the PDF, then place on it the fields of each person who signs: signature, initials, date, name or text. Several people can sign the same document.
The settings
Section titled “The settings”Create it in a request, with Add an item then the Signature document tile, or save it to the catalogue to reuse it.
- Signature document name and, if needed, Instructions (optional) that the person reads before signing.
- PDF document: a PDF of 50 MB at most, with no password.
- People who sign and Field placements: click Place the fields. At least one Signature field is required.
- Accepted signature methods: Drawn, Typed and Uploaded are offered at the start.
Each person who signs needs an email address: their invitation to sign is sent by email.
What your client sees
Section titled “What your client sees”They open their link and confirm their identity with a one-time code. They accept the Electronic signature terms, then meo guides them from one field to the next until Finish.
What you receive
Section titled “What you receive”In the request, the document’s row shows “waiting for” and the names while a signature is missing, then “signed by”, the names and the date. Once everyone has signed, meo seals the document, files it in the client’s folder as ”… - signé.pdf” and sends a copy to each signer. The Signature certificate gathers the proof of each signature.
