All questionsDoes meo replace my notarial software?
No. meo collects, files and keeps your clients’ documents and details, next to your software. You download a file or a document whenever you need it.
What about signing the deed?
The authentic act follows your usual process, outside meo. meo’s electronic signature is for preparatory documents: declarations, authorizations, the service agreement.
Does meo verify my clients’ identity?
No. The copy you receive helps you prepare the deed. Verification uses two pieces of identification from a reliable source, one with a photo, which you examine in the original, as the Chambre des notaires requires.
What about a Chambre des notaires inspection?
The documents and titles your client provided stay in the file, dated, with each file’s fingerprint, and every access is in the activity log. You set the retention per document type. The data is hosted in Montréal, Canada.
