No. meo gives you tools to document your practices. The progress shown reflects the steps recorded; it is neither a certification nor legal advice.
What does the policy check look at?
Eight common topics: the organization’s identity, the information collected, the purposes of collection, individual rights, data sharing and location, the officer’s contact details, cookies and the complaint process. For each, it says whether the topic is clearly covered. You can also paste the text.
What does the public page show, and where is it?
It lives at app.documeo.ca/conformite/ followed by the name you choose. It shows your organization’s name and logo, your privacy officer and their email, the link to your policy, the privacy tools meo gives you and a form to submit a request without creating an account. The name, the officer and the link are read from meo on every visit: if you change privacy officers, it shows the new one. You can change the address or deactivate the page at any time.
