Frequently asked questions
All questionsDoes meo replace my practice management software?
No. meo collects the questionnaire before the visit and keeps the answers, next to your software. It is not the patient’s record and there is no integration: you review the answers with the patient and record in your file what belongs there.
Does the questionnaire need a date and a signature?
The Ordre des dentistes’ record-keeping guide asks for both, with a review by the dentist. In meo, your patient can fill in and sign your questionnaire as a PDF, or answer in encrypted blocks and attest their answers; the date and time are kept either way.
Who can read the medical history?
The members of your team who have the permission to view sensitive information. The answers stay encrypted until a member reveals them, and every reveal is recorded in the activity log. The data is hosted in Montréal, Canada.
Can I ask every patient for their medical history again each year?
Recurring requests are planned on the roadmap. Today, you save your request as a template and send it to each patient before their appointment.
