“Mortgage balance” could mean an amount to type, a screenshot or a statement to upload. If your team needs a complete PDF, the client needs to know that when choosing the file.

In Meo, add instructions directly to the requested document. The client finds them beside the item they need to provide. Your team can then reuse the request as a template, with the details that make the document usable.

From a requested amount to the document you need

In this fictional example, an office needs to review the complete mortgage statement and save it as a PDF in its file.

Before: “Mortgage balance.”

Upload the most recent mortgage statement issued by your lender, in its original PDF file and with every page included. A screenshot of the balance alone is not enough for this request.

Four details to keep in your templates

  • The document: its name, plus the period or version when it matters.
  • The format: one your team can use for the next step.
  • The contents: all necessary pages, attachments or sections.
  • The purpose: why you need it, when that helps the client choose the right document.

Save the instruction with the item in your Meo template. For the next request, adapt the document and period to the client file.
