Wrong-year T4: correct one document without requesting everything again

  1. A new request for the right T4
  2. The next colleague knows what to check

The client sent “T4.pdf.” You open it: wrong year. With Meo, request only the document that needs correcting and assign its review to a colleague. The other documents stay in the client folder; nobody has to restart collection.

A new request for the right T4

In this fictional example, you are preparing a 2025 file, but the T4 received is for 2024. Create a new Meo request with one item: “2025 T4.” Documents already received remain under the first request, in the same client folder.

Send the new link: the previous request’s portal may be closed if that request is complete. The client opens the new request with their link and code, without creating an account. Adapt this message:

Hello, and thank you for sending your documents. The T4 received is for 2024. For your 2025 file, we need the 2025 T4. I’m sending a new Meo request for that document. Please upload it through the new link. You do not need to resend the other documents.

The next colleague knows what to check

Create a client-linked task called “Receive and check 2025 T4” and assign it to Anaïs. Add this internal comment to hand over the follow-up:

2024 T4 received for the 2025 file. New “2025 T4” request sent to the client. Anaïs: open the T4 received in this new request and check the year before completing the task.

This comment stays within the team. Anaïs finds the uploaded document under the new request, opens it and checks that it is the 2025 T4. She then completes the task. The document has been checked, and preparation can resume.
